Brings Back Memories!!

I remember how well Super Mario RPG did for the SNES when Square-Enix & Nintendo had their first collaboration project for a Mario game! It was one of my favorite games of all time!

However, the flash movie that you did was a pretty good example on how to bring back memories of those who haven't played the game in a long time. It's a good song for a stroll back on memory lane, but there are only a few problems that I think you could improve. One of the things I would advise you to try is make your drawn, vector graphics be a little more detailed and well drawn because they looked a little edgy on how they are drawn. I don't know, but maybe it is just me. However, the movie was great, overall! Keep up the good work!

A Masterpiece ...

From what I saw in this movie, your skills with Flash, Photoshop, ImageReady, and After Effects are truly amazing! The visual effects and the custom sprites were insane and was thought out, very well. I could not think of any other sprite movie that had such a strong story and powerful theme. You are a true inspiration, so this movie gets a 10/10 in my opinion because I have not seen any other sprite movie that was taken to the max, such as this one. Good job, and I hope that another episode is in the works! Keep it up with those skills!

Something to like Rock Lee more!

The movie was done well! I, especially, liked the visual effects that you used for the fighting sequences, and the sound effects go along very nicely. The plot for this story seems to follow how the story of Naruto goes. Well done on your part! Pretty intense fighting, and I hope to see a hell of a lot more in the next episode! Keep it up! ;)

Definitly LoZ

Man. I could not remember a good song that relates to video games ever since you did "We Are The Champions". The story was well planned, the graphics were pretty good, the less humor for the theme of the song makes it better, and the style is just unimaginary. Keep up the good work! I can't wait for future installments for LoZ music videos. :)

A Masterpiece in the Making!

I helped him with his submission by adding my voice as the narrator for the "Coming Soon" dialog, and I helped him with some sounds! I have to say that I haven't seen an 8-bit movie that was so spectacular ever since the the Super Mario Bros. Saga with Mario fighting against the forces of Bowser and leaving Luigi dead and the life of the Princess on the line. I see that this movie may have potential to be a dramatic and high rating experience. I'm working on MMZ: Quest For Revenge 2, & I'm about half way finished! If you think you like anything with dramatic experiences, this is definitely a series that you don't want to miss.

Yeah, dude!

It was funny how that you had more into the game than just derogative and perverted type of things. I loved it when you put more effort to doing things that are more game related to being really funny. Like the mysterious powerup that turned out to be a bikini, or when Mario and Toad get arrested. That is genius there! This one is the best yet! I hope to look forward to S.M. World Bloopers! It'll be great!

Funny

You had some great moments for some MK characters, but it still was kinda like what the first one was. Can't you possibly do more than just "fatality" sequences and such. Cause I want to see more than what happens at the end of a fight. The better the movie is with more than just that, then the better it is going to be. Long story short, you made a great movie! Keep up the hard work.

VicHD responds:

I prefer to concentrate on the humor of the fatalities and not just the fight itself for the characters. That's why MK was so popular in the first place. If I add fight scenes to the mix I might ruin the flash for those who want a quick laugh.

But I will try to be creative with other MK jokes that have nothing to do with fatalities, that is, if I can think of any good ones...

Thanks for your review.

Just Plain Funny for Originality.

This movie kicks butt for a Valentines Special because even though that you did all the voices, it was hard to believe which klayman was in gender. Also, I love Andrew's voice because it sounded similar to what the Red Klayman from THEY ARE TROUBLE MAKERS!! sounded like at first. It was also funny with the idea that the movie was scriptless. I kinda did something like that for my first sprite movie because I was the only one who could do the voices. I thought that my seriousness and my creativity could get a high score, but then it sorta backfires when people thought that there was more comedy than seriousness, and when I did my own voice for other characters. Anyway, you did really well on this movie. The movie was kinda pixelated, but the quality was pretty good. One thing that was bad is that the Klaymen hardly did anything except for the one who was crying the most for being heartbroken, but what the hell! I still loved it! Long story short, great movie for the theme of this month. I'm looking forward to "Villain" this year when it comes out on here and on DVD! Good luck, man!

Speechless

I just don't know what to say about this movie! I think that it is the best for the last episode of your huge saga! The stuff that you do with your sprite movies are kick ass. No question. Your saga is as good as the MMZ: The Last Cataclysm series, and it is a series that should never be forgotten. The custom animations on your Mario characters were splendid. The story was very detailed, and the graphical structure of Wart's castle was pretty tense! I know I can't even do something like that because I'm still just a beginner! Anyway, you make great VG Sprite movies with spoofs or just plain seriousness! You're a legend, Randy. Don't forget that. Also, if you ever feel the need to see my series, watch MMZ: Quest For Revenge! The flash movie may not be great in the feature, but the next episode will blow your socks off!

Anyway, on the other hand, overall, great job with the Rise of the MK series! Looking forward to more of your VG quickies or sagas in the future! Good luck!

Very Well Done!

All of the content is very good! But, I have a question. How did you manage to get that movie into Newgrounds considering the fact that it's almost 7 Megs?

Big fan of the Mega Man, Mega Man X, and Mega Man Zero series!
